ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS: how to fix it on your website
The page keeps redirecting in a loop, so the browser gives up.
What your visitors see
'This page isn't working, redirected you too many times'.
Common causes
- CDN set to Flexible SSL while the origin redirects HTTP to HTTPS
- Conflicting www and non-www redirects
- CMS site URL set differently from the server redirect
- Cookies with a stale redirect state
How to fix it
- On Cloudflare, use Full or Full (strict) SSL mode instead of Flexible
- Keep one canonical redirect rule in one place
- Align the CMS site URL (for WordPress, siteurl and home) with the real URL
- Test with: curl -sIL http://yourdomain.com to see the redirect chain
Check your certificate and TLS setup
Korrali Web scans your site for certificate, TLS and security header problems and can monitor it so you hear about expiry before visitors do.
