ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH: how to fix it on your website
The browser and server share no TLS version or cipher suite they are both willing to use.
What your visitors see
The site will not load in modern browsers.
Common causes
- Server only supports TLS 1.0 or 1.1, which modern browsers have removed
- Very restrictive or outdated cipher list
- Certificate name mismatch on some CDNs
How to fix it
- Enable TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3
- Use a modern cipher configuration, such as Mozilla's SSL configuration generator 'intermediate' profile
- Make sure the CDN has an active certificate for the hostname
Check your certificate and TLS setup
Korrali Web scans your site for certificate, TLS and security header problems and can monitor it so you hear about expiry before visitors do.
